Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, Bhubaneswar was set up on 14th April,1964 by late Sri Biju Pattanaik, the then Chief Minister of Odisha, under Administrative Control of Odisha Sangeet Natak Academy, Bhubaneswar for proper training and dissemination of Culture under Academic Curriculum. As a result of this the Mahavidyalaya became dis-affiliated to Utkal University, and automatically got affiliation at degree and master degree level to Utkal University of Culture, Odisha as per norms and conditions laid down in the said act.
